Sports Day is the most awaited event, filled with excitement and exhilaration. St.Martin's Engineering College celebrated the Annual Sports Day event on 20th March 2024 on the occasion of the chairman sir, Sri.Marri Laxman Reddy garu’s birthday, Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium served as the venue for the day's events. The day's celebrations started with the Professor &Group Director, Dr.P.Santosh Kumar Patra sir's address.During his mesmerizing speech, Sir conveyed that the chairman sir is the embodiment of good health and simple lifestyle. He also wished that Chairman sir will bring more laurels in sports, and extended his best wishes to all the participants of various sports events and congratulated the winners’ team of St. Martin's Engineering College. The occasion was graced with the presence of the Chief Guest, Shyamala Goli, International Open water Swimmer and The Guest of Honour, Mr.Ravindran, Founder of Hyderabad Cycling Group.They appreciated all the sports winners and conveyed 80th birthday wishes to the chairman sir, Chairman Sri.Marri Laxman Reddy garu, Veteran athlete and legendary sports personality appreciated the winners and shared his happiness for the huge number of sports participants and their enthusiasm. Sir also advised everyone to focus on physical fitness by taking active part in extra-curricular activities. Executive Director, Sri G.Chandrasekhar Yadav garu, congratulated the sports participants and winners for their interest in sports events. He also expressed that chairman sir is the source of inspiration to students. The management team and the Group Director Sir awarded the trophies and certificates to the winners. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks and a round of applause for all the winners and a hearty cheer from the audience.
